Our specialist cup for people with a low cervix

Unsure of our cervix height? Use our measurement guide.

Unlike our regular Hello Cup, the Hello Low Cervix Cup does not have a toggle at the base. This is because people with a low cervix have a shorter vaginal canal, so they may find the toggle exposed, or uncomfortable.

Instead, Hello Low Cervix Cups have a rounded base which is thickened – allowing for easy removal.

Our Hello Low Cervix Cup comes in two sizes – S/M and L.

The Hello Cup is a complete game changer when it comes to your period.

  • Hypoallergenic
  • Medical-Grade
  • Holds more than tampons
  • Reusable for years
  • Silicone-Free
  • BPA Free
  • Designed by a nurse
  • Made in New Zealand

HOW DO I MEASURE MY CERVIX?

WE TALK OF CERVIXES AS SITTING AT LOW, AVERAGE OR HIGH HEIGHT.

It’s important to know the position of your cervix as this can affect the way you should insert your Hello Cup and can also finding the right cup for you. Our standard Hello Cups are made for people with an ‘average’ cervix height - but we often find people with a high cervix are able to use them too.

HELLO CERVIX MEASUREMENT GUIDE

To determine the height of your cervix, we’ve put together a wee guide below. Simply follow the steps and use our table to determine your cervix height. Make sure you do this when you have your period, for accuracy. Also - we often find this task is easiest in the shower!

Step 1: Wash your hands

Step 2: While on your period, insert a finger into the vagina and feel for the cervix - it should feel like the tip of your nose (a round, soft, knobbly thing).

Step 3: Note how far your finger is inside, and retract your finger. Either use a thumb, mark with a pen, or simply remember the point at which your cervix was felt. Measure this length against a ruler. (You’ll obviously need to leave the shower for this bit!)

Step 4: Align how your measurements with our guide below to determine your cervix height.

HIGH CERVIX
About: 55mm (2.25″) or higher

Can’t reach your cervix, or find it hard to reach? You’ll likely have a high cervix. People with a high cervix often find most menstrual cups fit well without being too long. If you have a high cervix you might need to use your pelvic floor muscles to help move your cup down when it comes time for removal. People with a really high cervix of more than 80mm might want to opt for a specialist high cervix cup.

AVERAGE CERVIX
About: 45 mm (1.8″) – 55 mm (2.25″)

There’s nothing wrong with being average! You’ll be a great candidate for our standard Hello Cup range. For sizing info try our menstrual cup

LOW CERVIX
About: 44 mm (1.6″) or lower

If your cervix was easily reachable near the vaginal opening, you’ll likely have a low cervix. People with a low cervix usually means a standard size cup won’t be quite right - as they’ll be able to feel it, and it will be uncomfortable.

If you have a low cervix - you might want to opt for our specially designed Low Cervix Hello Cup as the toggle may protrude with a standard Hello Cup.

SIZE GUIDE

Vaginal cup, period cup, menstrual cup, fannie cup! Whatever you call it, the Hello Cup is a great choice.

While working out what size you are can be tricky, the below info is a good starting point.

Our Regular Hello Cups come in three sizes – XS (extra small), S/M (small/medium) and L (large or ‘lovely’).

Our specialist Low Cervix Hello Cup comes in two sizes – S/M and L.

Vaginal cup, period cup, menstrual cup, fannie cup! Whatever you call it, the Hello Cup is a great choice.

While working out what size you are can be tricky, the below info is a good starting point.

Diameter - Regular Hello Cups

The Hello Cup comes in three sizes – XS (extra small), S/M (small/medium) and L (large or ‘lovely’).

XS cup is is our smallest, softest cup. It’s the perfect choice for teenagers, petite users or those who prefer a ‘mini’ tampon.

S/M is our ‘one size fits most’ menstrual cup. We recommend it for users under 35 – regardless of whether they have had children or not.

L is best for those over 35 who feel it’s a bit more roomy up there (possibly thanks to pushing out a small human or two). It’s worth noting that we find physically fit people are often best suited to the S/M regardless of age.

Diameter - Low Cervix Hello Cups

The diameter of the S/M is 41mm and the overall length (no toggle) is 43mm. It holds 21mls (to the holes).

The diameter of the L is 45mm and the overall length (no toggle) is 49mm. It holds 28ml (to the holes).

Sometimes finding the best size for you can be a bit of trial and error. If you’re uncertain about what size to choose, our Hello Cup Double Box is often a great choice. You’ll get two Hello Cups of your choice to find which one works best for you. Many find they can wear two sizes anyway and opt for a smaller sized Hello Cup on light days and a larger one on heavy days.
